Weymouth & District Round Table in the community

Weymouth & District Round Table organise Weymouth's biggest annual event - Weymouth Carnival, and have been doing so for 49 years now. It may come as a suprise, but it is the planning and organisation of a small Carnival Committee made up of Round Tablers that plan and organise this great yearly event. Our aim with Weymouth Carnival is simple - raise as much money as possible for local and locally based national charities!

In the 49 years Weymouth & District Round Table have been organising this event, we have proudly donated nearly £1,000,000 to local and locally based national charities as well as providing a key boost to local businesses. Weymouth Carnival is not only seen as one of the biggest events in the South of England, but also one of the biggest events organised by a individual Round Table in the UK!

Weymouth & District Round Table always look to keep a close eye on the local community through both The Dorset Echo and Wessex FM. Occassionally we see of charities, groups, organisations and individuals who are desperate for help with causes that we believe warrant our assistance. Lately, we have come to the aid of Pobbles Day Nursery with a donation for new toys after theirs were vandalised; we have installed new flooring into the home of a little boy who suffered from terrible asthma; and made various donations to worthwhile causes.
